Company Background
The story of UK Commercial Cleaning Services starts back in 2004 when a 19 year old Tony Earnshaw bought and transformed a local north east window cleaning round (which at the time was taking £300 per month) to that of one taking £6000 per month. Through the sheer grit and determination of Tony, the company excelled and was sold on 6 months later for £16,000. This then gave Tony the opportunity to move into the commercial and industrial sectors which he instantly did, almost immediately winning large public sector contracts and creating new jobs. The company went from strength to strength securing contracts with hotel chains, restaurant groups and nationally recognized care groups.
In 2008, Steven Pearson, a life long friend of Tony's, was brought on board to generate and boost sales targets and create bigger business opportunities. Since his employment at UK-CC he has generated over £250,000 worth of business, attained the safe-contractor and CHAS accreditations for the company, successfully established ISO-9001 within the company and in a joint effort, applied for, and appeared alongside Tony successfully securing investment on BBC 2's Dragons Den.
With the opening of the new Leeds branch in late 2008, the company appointed John Kerslake to run the Midlands division of UK Commercial Cleaning. His wealth of experience and knowledge within the commercial and Industrial cleaning sector made him the perfect cadidate to take on such a role. His background includes microbiological analysis and sampling, hygiene and health. He has studied as a Q.C technician
Dragons Den.
On Monday April 20th 2009 Tony Earnshaw and Steven Pearson entered the Den representing UK Commercial Cleaning Services pitching for a £100,000 investment for a 20% stake in the company. After a confident and flawless pitch the duo seemed set to secure the investment which they had came looking for, but as with many entrepreneurs, the pressure of rapid fire questions relating to the company's figures had a nerve shredding effect. Under the intense pressure, calculations and logic thought processes which normally come as second nature to the pair, completely abandoned them. Somehow, Tony and Steve managed regain composure and against all odds, finally secured an investment with Duncan Bannatyne after a short bout of competition from James Caan. Subsequently, Duncan Bannatyne has now became a director of UK Commercial Cleaning Services and the company continues to go from strength to strength.
