Our extractor & kitchen cleaning training, is a 2 day course / BESA Compliant – Costing £485 +VAT. Our courses cover all aspects that are needed in extractor & kitchen cleaning, please see below to find out what is included:

Introduction

Introduction to UK Commercial Cleaning – Including an induction and requirements whilst you are in our head office.

Cleaning Methods

This part will be taken place inside our classroom, and you will learn:

  • How to use kitchen cleaning equipment
  • The difference between carbon, grease, dirt, grime and lime scale
  • The cause of carbon build-up and removal
  • The build up of grease and removal
  • Chemicals and their correct uses
  • COSHH

How to Clean

This part will be a practical and you will learn how to clean:

  • Filters
  • Extractor Hoods
  • Rotating Fans
  • Duct Work
  • Back Splashes

How to Fit Access Panels

This part will be a practical and you will learn how to fit:

  • The safe method of fitting access panels
  • The fitting of curved panels
  • The fitting of flat panels
  • Where to fit panels

Cleaning Commercial Kitchens

This part will be taken place inside our classroom, and learn the effective ways of cleaning a commercial kitchen:

  • How to stay safe whilst working with gas appliances
  • The correct personal protective equipment and their uses
  • The safe working practices within a commercial kitchen

How To Clean

This part will be a practical and you will learn how to clean:

  • Fryers
  • Ovens, Hobs and Racks
  • Salamanders, Grills and Hot Plates
  • Fridges and Freezers
  • Worktops
  • Tiled Areas, Cladding Walls and Stainless Steel
  • Use of Scrubbers and Floor Buffers

How to Chemical / Steam Clean Floors

In this part you will learn:

  • The difference in tiles, vinyls, stone and metal kitchen floors
  • The correct chemicals and methods of floor cleaning

How to Meet BESA TR19 Standards

In this part you will learn:

  • The method of meeting BESA standards
  • BESA requirements
  • The issuing of certificates

Basic Food Hygiene

In this part you will learn the basic food hygiene whilst working in a kitchen environment:

  • Requirements for working in a food preparation area
  • The correct method of sanitisation

Course Dates

Courses will take place on a Tuesday & Wednesday

  • 25th & 26th July 2017
  • 26th & 27th September 2017
  • 24th & 25th October 2017
  • 28th & 29th November 2017

This includes all personal protective equipment , chemicals, cleaning equipment, a full day of training in our purpose built training area and lunch.
